Lodge History

Alma Lodge No. 9792 was consecrated on 18th March 2005 and holds Meetings four times a year at Shirley Woolmer Masonic Hall, Church Road, Sidcup, Kent DA14 6BX.

Alma Lodge is the Daughter Lodge of Lakedale Lodge No. 4044 and the Sponsoring Lodge of the West Kent Rugby Lodge No. 9998 in the Province of West Kent.

Alma Lodge was so named after the The Alma Public House in Sidcup, Kent where the founding members would meet and frequent for a beverage or two. It was there that they decided to create a new Lodge for local people in Sidcup and the surrounding areas. However due to its popularity, Alma Lodge now has members who travel from further afield to attend our meetings and social events, travelling from London, the Midlands, the South Coast and we have had members traveling from as far as France!

We always are ready to welcome new members, so if you’re interested in becoming a Freemason, why wait? Just get in touch.
